March to October is the peak season. Tulips bloom in April, summer (May–July) offers lush green meadows in Pahalgam & Sonamarg, autumn (Sept–Oct) brings golden chinars, and December–February turns Gulmarg into a snow-covered ski paradise.
Most travellers fly into Srinagar International Airport (SXR) — direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and other major cities. By train, the nearest major station is Jammu Tawi, followed by a 6–8 hour scenic drive to Srinagar.

A houseboat stay typically includes a private wooden room with attached bath, all meals prepared by the houseboat staff, and a complimentary 1-hour Shikara ride across the lake at sunset.
Absolutely. Gulmarg is one of Asia’s top ski destinations from December to early March. The Gulmarg Gondola (one of the highest cable cars in the world) takes you up to Apharwat Peak. Ski gear, instructors and snowboarding can all be arranged through our local partners.
Layers are key. Summer: light woollens for evenings + comfortable walking shoes. Winter (Nov–Feb): heavy jackets, thermals, gloves, wool caps and waterproof boots. Sonamarg and Gulmarg can drop below freezing year-round at altitude.
